What We Do

Founded in 2021, we are establishing official support networks to help navigate life with the rare condition Amelogenesis Imperfecta (AI).

Our Mission

To support those with Amelogenesis Imperfecta in achieving solutions that allow them to overcome the mental and physical impacts of this condition and to advocate for research into genetic resolution of Amelogenesis Imperfecta.

Our organization seeks to provide aid to persons with Amelogenesis Imperfecta (AI). AI is a rare genetic condition which affects the creation of enamel. Persons with AI can suffer a range of problems including brown/yellow discolored teeth, hypersensitivity to heat and cold, tooth fragility, and so on. Treatment for the condition is expensive and specialized. However, such treatment is almost never covered by dental or general health insurance. As a result, affected individuals are often unable to afford treatment and suffer a lifetime of negative consequences. Our organization seeks to identify individuals with AI and connect them with quality dental care providers who are able to effectively and efficiently treat the condition. We seek to negotiate reduced costs from providers, or find those providers who may be willing to perform some or all treatment as charity. We further seek to provide as much financial support as possible to those who demonstrate need.

We aim to pay the costs of restorative dental treatment directly to the providers as needed on behalf of individuals identified as having AI and demonstrating financial need. The specific dental treatment to be funded will be that which the dental care provider recommends for treatment of the individual's symptoms related to AI.
